Inspections

Walk any unit through a checklist — a pre-rental walkaround, a weekly battery check — and keep the results forever. Find it under Inspections in the sidebar (administrators can switch the module on or off in Settings).

Forms: the checklists

Administrators build forms under Inspections → Forms: a name plus an ordered list of items ("Tires", "Lights", "Battery charged"). Edit them freely — past inspections keep the item names as they were on the day, so history never rewrites itself. A form with history can't be deleted, only deactivated.

Performing an inspection

Choose Inspection History → New Inspection (or follow a due chip from Schedules), pick the form and the unit, and mark each item pass or fail. Failed items require a note — "failed" without a why helps nobody. Submitting a failed inspection rings everyone's notification bell.

Item failures: the follow-up queue

Every failed item lands in Item Failures until someone deals with it. From there you can:

  • Mark it resolved once it's fixed, or
  • Create an issue from it with one click — the failure becomes a trackable issue (see the Issues article), and resolving that issue clears the failure here automatically.

Schedules

Administrators can put a form on a cadence — "walkaround every 30 days". The Schedules page computes, live, which units are due (never inspected counts as due), and each due chip is a one-click jump into the inspection.
