Running multiple locations

One workspace, several lots. If your business runs a single location, none of this appears — OnLot stays simple. Add a second location (administrators, under Settings → Locations) and the whole app becomes location-aware.

The location switcher

A switcher in the top bar scopes what you're looking at: one lot, or all locations at once. Boards, availability, and stat tiles follow the selection, and OnLot remembers your choice per person — the counter at the beach lot lives in the beach lot's view.

What becomes per-location

• The fleet board — every unit belongs to a location; filter or scope the board by lot.
• Availability & reservations — projected availability computes per location, so a full lot across town doesn't hide the empty one here.
• Parts stock — quantities, reorder points, and shelf locations track per lot, with tabs to switch between them (more).
• Staff — assign people to the lots they work; their day opens where they do.

Moving units between lots

Transfer a unit from its page (or in bulk from Vehicles → Add & Manage) and the move is recorded — from where, to where, who, when. History stays honest: a rental keeps the location it was checked out from, even if the unit later moves, so location reporting reflects what actually happened.

Tickets, audits, and records

Everything that references a unit — tickets, inspections, work orders, fuel logs, records — carries its location context automatically. Run a plate audit per lot, read per-lot inventory value in Parts, and filter most boards by location.
