Tickets & plate audits

Two modules for businesses whose units carry plates — toll and citation tracking, and physical plate verification. Administrators switch either on or off in Settings.

Tickets

A ticket (a toll charge, a parking citation, a camera violation) is filed against a plate, and OnLot works out the rest: which unit wore that plate on the violation date — even if the plate has since moved to another unit — and who had it rented at that moment.

  • File a ticket with the plate, date, amount, and a reference number.
  • The ticket shows the responsible unit and, when one matches, the rental and customer it lands on.
  • Resolve with a paper trail: paid, disputed, written off — each resolution keeps who, when, and a note.
  • Open tickets surface on the fleet board (a column and a filter), on the unit's page, and on the customer's page — so the counter sees an outstanding ticket before the next check-out, not after.

Everything exports as CSV from Reports — the full ticket log or just what's open.

Plate audits

A plate audit is a walk of the lot: does every unit physically carry the plate our records say it does? Start a run, work through the fleet confirming or flagging each unit, and finish with a signed-off record of the walk — who checked, when, and every mismatch found.

Mismatches are the point: a swapped plate found in an audit explains a mystery toll six weeks later. Past runs stay on file, so you can show an auditor (or an insurance adjuster) exactly when the lot was last verified and what it looked like.
