Vehicle records

Four small logs under the Vehicles menu keep each unit's paper trail together: meters, tires, expenses, and warranties. Administrators can switch each one on or off in Settings.

Open any unit from the fleet board to see its whole story on one page: current status and renter, condition photos, tickets, rental history — plus summary tiles for meter, fuel, expenses, and service history that jump into each log pre-filtered to that unit, and sections for recent issues, work orders, inspections, warranties, recalls, and open reminders (each appears only when its module is on and has something to show). At the bottom, Audit History lists every change made to the unit itself — status flips, edits, transfers — with who and when.

Meter History

Odometer or hour-meter readings — the unit (mi, km, hr) is a terminology setting, so a golf cart fleet counts hours while a van fleet counts miles. Each reading shows the change since the previous one; a reading lower than the last isn't rejected (meters get replaced, typos happen) but gets flagged so someone looks at it.

Tire Readings

Pressure (psi) and tread depth (in 32nds) per tire. One check logs all four corners at once — fill in whichever positions you measured and only those are recorded.

Expense History

The costs that aren't service and aren't fuel: registration, insurance, cleaning, storage, tolls. Type is free text with common suggestions, and the list totals whatever you're viewing — filter to one unit for that unit's running cost.

For all three logs above: anyone records and corrects entries; deleting is administrator-only.

Warranties

What's covered, by whom, until when. Status is computed live — Active, Expiring Soon (within 30 days), or Expired — and the list sorts soonest-expiring first so nothing lapses quietly. No expiration date means the coverage just runs. Administrators maintain these; everyone can read them.
